The beginning of the work can be traced back to 1928 when five members met
for the first time, with L. G. Thomas preaching. Since that time several congregations
(Mulga, Adamsville, Hillview, Brookside) were started with the assistance of members
from Sandusky. A number of gospel preachers (Gerald and Barry Elliot, Dale and Mikey
Randolph, Gary Cleveland, Nicky Faught and Jason Mullenix) grew up in this congregation.
A Christian school (West Birmingham Christian) was founded with the help of Sandusky.
Sandusky has always been mission-
Many over the years have sacrificed and served to see the gospel lived and taught through this congregation. With faith, determination, and love, we continue this service. TO GOD BE THE GLORY IN ALL THINGS! We pray that we will be holding forth the word of life when Jesus comes again. It is our hope that by so doing, we will help many men and women, boys and girls to enter that eternal home of the soul in the presence of Almighty God.
